Partnerships
As the year goes by every company wants to grow more to be recognized and still be working. To be able to succeed many company sign a partnership in order to accommodate commuters.
Over the years, as WestJet signed agreements, with a few airlines to come on board with them to their company. There are about fourteen interline partners as well as code-share partners of five airlines. They would make it easier to further assist each customer where they can purchase one ticket to more than one airline. Interline deal is different from codeshare, it allows airlines to allow their guest to easily connect with flights to make Canadians flying in North America easier as well as to different countries. Just last year WestJet announced the partnership with Delta airlines. Nearly over six years WestJet has been trying to get Hong Kong on board with them and have finally come to an agreement. The issue was upgrading their computer system once the system has changed partnership has happen.
With such an agreement, airlines will share their revenue. Analyst Cameron Doerksen of Montreal said that Delta would take time to pay off for WestJet. He also stated that the agreement will take several years to become more meaningful to financial contributors for WestJet. WestJet also has been thinking of expanding its market even more with their plane Boeing 737 aircraft.
Thus, all these partnership is to accommodate traveller to see their loves ones or even to just explore around the world. To have this type of agreement will allow more guests to travel easier and hassle free.
